Aboard
of some vessels, a device has been systematically used to follow the geometry
of the gear. The results obtained (cf. figures below) show that the wing spread
of the gear usually fluctuates between 15 and 20 m, and the vertical opening is
about 2 m, with some changes according to the depth and to the vessel, and
eventually the year.
