

Massimiliano Bottaro received his degree in Biological Sciences at the University of Genoa. Since 2000 he joined with ICRAM and he has been involved in research programs on the fish biology and ecology, in particular in cartilaginous fishes and Antarctic teleosts. In the same time he joined with the Department of Biology of the University of Genoa in the framework of a research on the sensory systems and the reproduction of chondrichthyes and Antarctic fishes. Since 2004 he is a PhD student in Polar Sciences at the University of Siena, carrying out a project on the sensory organs in the nototheniod fishes, in collaboration with the MNA of the University of Genoa. He has published 12 papers in international scientific journals and he is author of 23 communications at national and international congresses.
